For My Own Use

Hey, you’ve landed on my hidden page!

I needed a way to see my characters grouped together in specific ways, for planning. This is probably not interesting to anyone else but me so I have put this page here for my own use. I’ll go ahead and explain my tags, just in case someone does find this interesting enough to read, and who knows – some of this may help give you a better idea of some of the characters or the ways in which they fit into their families and community.

(Since creating this page for myself, I have added some of these for anyone to see, such as single/engaged/married and character ages.)

single-men, single-women: I created this so I can easily see the single characters that I have. This will help when I want to introduce a new couple. I am using the word “single” to mean “not dating anyone”, rather than just “unmarried”. I haven’t included my teens in this category, though some of them are dating and others are not.

engaged: I don’t want to forget to plan any upcoming weddings! 🙂

married: Those who are married

couples: A broader category so I can see everyone who is not single, whether they’re engaged, married, or dating (not to be confused with Couples & Families, which is a category for photos of couples and families, rather than for the bio pic of anyone who is not single).

character ages: This makes it easier for me to see the bios of my characters by their age or their age-range and is helpful in planning who is related to whom.

ou: This is my way of remembering which characters’ occupations I haven’t decided on yet (occupation undecided).

Single Adults Without Jobs: Sometimes I need to see only my single characters whose occupations I haven’t decided on yet.

business-owners: I was curious how many of my characters are business owners, so I created a tag to start tracking.

kwp: This means “kid without parent(s)”. I haven’t figured out, yet, who all of the families are.

rwl: This is my way of remembering which dolls are on the “Rebody Waiting List”, and I can access it when I am looking for articulated bodies. There are many dolls I would like to eventually rebody at some point, but I didn’t give them all a “rwl” tag. I’m using this tag for those dolls I would most like to rebody first, and then later I may add others to the list.

paint: This is how I remember which dolls I need to do some paint work on (this could be as simple as correcting crooked eyes or fixing missing paint on an eyebrow or it could mean adding facial hair or changing eye color)

hair: Refers to which dolls’ hair I plan to change, by giving them a hair cut or restyle, a re-root, or a wig

ss: I’ve been collecting “second style” versions of some of my dolls – extras of the same doll so I can style their hair differently and switch them out whenever I need them to have a different look. I do this with either the “Swappin’ Styles Fashionista” dolls, where I may have one or more other “heads” with different hair styles and makeup, or duplicate dolls that play the same character with different looks. These are the dolls I have second styles for (not to be confused with Second Styles Photos, where I post photos of dolls with their second styles).

ss-np: This is a list of dolls whose second styles need paint work.

ss-nh: This is a list of dolls whose second styles need work related to hair.

ss-rwl: This is a list of dolls whose second styles need rebodying.

ss-lf: These are the dolls for which I am looking for a second style version.

ss-take-pic: This is a reminder to myself of which dolls I still need to take Second Style pics of.

nsn: These characters need surnames. I’m in the process of deciding on surnames for everyone and this helps me to see who doesn’t have one yet.

mnc: This is a surprise that I am still planning. 🙂

Cast, Not Cast, Accepting Auditions: I created these when I was hoping to make Port Sebastian a stop-motion series with voice actors. I’ve put that plan aside because it just isn’t feasible, but I’ll keep the links here in case I am ever able to make it happen. This will allow me to see at a glance which characters I have found voice actors for, which characters I am auditioning for, and which characters I have not begun auditioning for. Actors and Crew is another category I created for a potential stop-motion series with voice actors.
