Formerly (before becoming one of my characters), this doll/figure was: a Mattel 2007 #M3444 Princess Masquerade Ball doll (Listed on Amazon as “Barbie Renaissance Princess Doll – Purple“). Also see the comments on my March 2012 flickr post for more information.

Hybrid/OOAK Status: I rebodied her onto a Fashionista Swappin’ Styles body. I have two versions of her, and I straightened and trimmed the hair on one.

As a kid, I dearly loved my Barbies and I played with them for hours on end. During those years, I also enjoyed watching my mom's "stories" (soap operas) with her, and I grew to love the soap genre. Now I’m a grown woman in my 50’s. In 2012, I began collecting and photographing Barbie dolls and other 6th scale dolls and action figures and I have fallen in love with making dioramas and using my dolls to tell my own "stories".
